Interesting People Talking about Interesting Topics

Back to We’re all in this Together

If you watched The Last Dance then you’ll really enjoy this interview
with Mike Tollin, the Executive Producer. He tells some great back stories!
If you didn’t watch it – you simply must! Yes, at the core this does feature
Michal Jordan but even if you aren’t a Basketball or Michael Jordan fan
you’ll get sucked in quickly and each episode just gets better and better.

A few Favorite Commencement Speeches!
When Michael Smerconish shared this very special commencement speech,
he didn’t want to tell his audience who the speaker was concerned half would
hear it with a bias. He asked us to listen with an open ear. I’ll do the same.
I loved this speech so much and would recommend it to everyone but
especially if you have kids, grandkids or other loved ones in the earlier
stages of life to watch it. If you’re like me and incredibly impatient you can
skip the 1st 5 minutes of the introduction or if you just want the meat of
it skip to the 8 min mark.

For New Nerds Like Me!
Most that know me laugh that I can't have a conversation without inserting something that I heard on the Michael Smerconish SIRIUS radio program. I listen to it on demand so I get to enjoy all 3 hours of news, politics, as well as a wide variety of topics and interviews with a myriad of authors, journalists and fascinating people. I love his data driven, nonpartisan, super smart presentation of facts, and I learn something new every day! He released a book in 2018, American Life in Columns, which is a collection of 100 of his most memorable columns including topics as diverse as the hunt for Osama bin Laden and what the color of your Christmas lights says about you. He adds an afterword to each column with updates on both facts and feelings, showing how he has evolved over the years and moved from a reliable Republican voter to a political Independent.
He brought this great book to life at sold out shows throughout the country which my friends and I were fortunate to see in LA in June of 2018. While, the current crisis caused him to cancel the last few scheduled shows, a video of one of the shows is now available for all to see. Whether you watch it or read it, I know you'll love it!
